Endearing Rose
Here are my cards:
These cards use a set called Small Words of Loving and Kindness.  This set includes the 11 sentiments that you can see above.  I think this set will be indispensable.  You can make a wide variety of cards with these small sized sentiments.  I made three cards with this fabulous set, some washi tape and some card stock.  It went pretty quick too!
This card uses a set called Endearing Rose.  I reverted back to a technique I haven't used in ages.  I stamped the single rose image, expertly drawn by Beverly Cole, on vellum. Next up, I grabbed my Copic Markers and colored on the back of the vellum.  Several layers and die cut embellishments later, I had a finished card.

February Flourishes Releases - Florentine Frame & My Funny Valentine

The Friends of Flourishes Design Team is sharing projects
we've created with the latest release stamp sets:

Florentine Frames and My Funny Valentine.
Florentine Frame
My Funny Valentine
Here are my cards:
My card for Florentine Frame uses the frame to set off some patterned paper perfect for any affectionate card.  I masked off the sentiment and only inked up the first line for a straightforward and meaningful sentiment.  It's simple, but it carries the message.
What a fun set!  I had a great time coloring this gal. I grabbed a silver gel pen to highlight the fringe on the heart and match the silver cording I used to attach the "my funny valentine" sentiment.  An overlay of vellum tones down my patterned paper and a simple design allow the sweetheart to be front and center.

Friends of Flourishes & Watercolor

Hello and Happy Saturday!  This week, Gloria has chosen the theme for the Friends of Flourishes challenge.  She picked water coloring as our focus for this week. It's not my strong suit, but I really enjoyed myself.  I can see trying this technique again. It was quite relaxing to paint the sunflower.
Today's card features Year of Flowers 2 and the beautiful sunflower in the top corner of the stamp set.  Beverly Cole has masterfully illustrated this set which includes four gorgeous florals. I embossed my image in gold and then went to work painting it up.  Lastly, I die cut it and stamped the flower name in the bottom left hand corner.

Using Non-Square or Non-Rectangle Shapes

Yesterday was the Ways To Use It challenge and we were askedto make projects that weren't square or rectangle in shape. I knew that this My Favorite Things die was the right tool for the job.

My favorite color is purple so I opted for some purple Converse!  I'm sure that they come in every color in the rainbow.

The hardest part of this card is keeping track of those tiny die cut eyelets.  Other than that, it was easy-peasy.  I traced the negative of the die cut and trimmed out a back side for my little gift card. A single score and some Scor-tape finish the project.

I could have left the back off and looped some coding through one of the eyelets to make a tag.  Maybe next time, I will try that.

Thank you for stopping by!  Happy Friday to you!

Details - Stamps: Be Original (MFT), Paper:Lavender Lace, Whisper White, Ink:  Brilliant Blue, Real Red; Accessories: All Star High Top die (MFT), glue pen, Scor-Pal, Scor-Tape, paper snips.

Friends of Flourishes & Flowers

Hello and Happy Saturday!  This week, Davi has chosen the theme for the Friends of Flourishes challenge.  She picked Flowers as our focus for this week. I'm a sucker when it comes to florals and Flourishes has the best! Today, you will be treated to a beautiful Flourishes floral in the clean and simple style.

My card for today features Camellia Love with multiple Camellia images and multiple sentiment in beautiful fonts. No water coloring for me this week.  I just grabbed a few markers and colored up several of the same image to visually break up my card.  I hope you like it!

Friends of Flourishes & Thinking of You

Hello and Happy Saturday!  This week, Vickie has chosen the theme for the Friends of Flourishes challenge.  She picked Thinking of You as our focus for this week. Today, you will be treated to a beautiful Flourishes floral and a newly released sentiment.
Today's card features the California Poppy from the Flourishes set called Year of Flowers 2.  I repeated the poppy multiple times and embossed in silver.  I did a touch of water coloring on my focal layer and then traced a wonky rectangle with my silver paint pen. Finally, I stamped a simple but meaningful sentiment from the newly released set called Small Words of Loving and Kindness.

Scor-Pal More Than One Score - Anything Goes

Hello Crafty Friends!  It's February and the Scor-Pal team is back from the holiday break.  It's time again for another "More Than One Score" challenge. This month's theme is another anything goes theme.  By definition, it's a wide open challenge and you can use this opportunity to make whatever you are needing at this time.  Be sure to check out what the other design team members on the Scor-Pal Team have created.
I love my Scor-Pal for simple scored accents.  While this isn't a super fancy fold card, I think that multiple scored lines around my image and sentiment pack a powerful punch.  My only other embellishments are three little sequins.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Details - Stamps: Winter Birds (Flourishes); Paper: Snow Storm Smooth, Whisper White, Blue Jean Collection (Flourishes); Ink: Tuxedo Black; Accessories: Scor-Pal, Scor-Tape, liquid glue, stampin' dimensionals, Copic Markers, sequins, Linen& Canvas Impression plate.
